Vets Scorch Nets As Tigers Crush Louisiana Tech

The Memphis Tigers (4-2) jumped out early and often on Louisiana Tech (5-1) Tuesday night as they stymied the Bulldogs on defense, leading to easy baskets in transition. Following a big win against Ohio State, the Tigers would continue their progress with a 94-68 win over the previously undefeated Bulldogs. Leading by as many as 26 points, the Tigers forced their will against Louisiana Tech and controlled the game from beginning to end.

Memphis’ Blowout Win Over SMU Is Overshadowed By Fuente’s Departure

After a 63-0 runaway victory over Southern Methodist Saturday, including a seven touchdown pass performance by Tiger quarterback Paxton Lynch, you would think that the actual game itself would be the talk of the town this weekend. Instead, the departure of Memphis Head Football Coach Justin Fuente has garnered all of the headlines throughout the city, overshadowing the Tigers getting a victory to end the three-game losing streak that loomed over their heads heading into their second consecutive bowl game.

Wake Up Memphis: You Are Sleeping On Jeremiah Martin

When Memphis Tiger freshman point guard Jeremiah Martin made his commitment to the Tigers this spring it came with little to no fanfare. Although the local Mitchell High product was a two-time state champion and was also voted as Mr. Basketball for the state of Tennessee, Martin has not received the hype and expectations that you would expect with a player as accomplished as he is.
